SHREVEPORT Louisiana AP report: police were called Friday by a caller claiming a skunk had head stuck in a can. Patrolman Lambert freed the animal and assumed it was a pet that had been deodorized. He later learned the skunk was not a pet and had not been deodorized.

A tornado struck a northwest Milton residential area Saturday injuring about 40 people. A funeral home reported eight horses were brought in for care and more were expected as crews searched debris for victims. Names of victims not yet released.
