A race meet in the city is set for Friday October 10 starting at 3 p m with pacing trotting running and free-for-all events. Entries should be registered at once with W A Douthit as only a limited number will be booked. Good purses will be offered and the full program will appear in next week’s paper.
Dr. W. T. Hope, the new dentist, married Miss Cora Wilett of Kansas City last Saturday evening. Rev. Frank Arnold of the First Presbyterian church performed the ceremony at the manse. Hope has few friends in town who wish him joy. the bride is described as a charming young woman.
