Booze Dealers Arrested On Roadside Liquor Find
G Bertimer Noah Johnson and E Scribner appeared in court Wednesday in the custody of Marshal Horton charged with possession of liquor. They pleaded not guilty and were to be tried Saturday after being found intoxicated on the Picher road with seventeen and a half pints of whiskey, one pint unconsumed. Marshal Horton also closed a blind pig near the river on the Joplin road arresting John McKackin and Geo Dinken with twelve and a half pints of juice. McKackin pleaded guilty and received 20 days and $100. Dinken pleaded not guilty and to be tried Saturday. all prisoners were taken to Columbus. Chas F Polster has been in St Louis since Monday buying merchandise for Polster Bros. Dept.
