30 TO SCHOOL AT U. 8, EXPENSE
Young men aged 18 to 21 registrants for the draft under the new law may attend the State Manual Training Normal starting September 17. The government will pay board housing uniforms and clothing, and $30.2 per month. Registrants will be inducted into the service as part of the student army training corps. In addition to regular teaching courses, technical classes include auto and motor truck repair, electrical machinery, and office or teaching courses. High school education not required. At 6 30 yesterday morning the home of H 8 Elser on the corner of Nineteenth street and East Avenue burned to the ground. The interior was afire when the Elsers awoke and escaped through a window. Mrs Elser had started breakfast earlier and slept again, awaking to the fire and screams. J W Kaltenbach alerted the fire department but the blaze had progressed too far to save the structure. Horse Thief Rounded Up in Oklahoma City
