Walter Kitchen of Miami attends the reunion. Mrs. Joe Vincent of Miami visits her father S. B. Apple. W. C. Judd of Heavener Oklahoma visits relatives. J. M. Cooper & Co announce fall and winter goods arrival. Kuhn buys the large dry goods line. J. O. Treece opening new stock. Attorney Al Williams shown from Columbus.
Fred Nichols and Ethel Cook were quietly married at the Dixon home with Rev. Busch officiating. The bride, daughter of J. W. and Mrs. Cook, is praised as popular and lovable. The groom, a Reddy drug store clerk, is described as well liked. The notice wishes the couple long life and happiness.
The fall semester begins Monday September 7 with a reorganized faculty and a recently refurbished school building. A national Parent-Teacher association aims to link school and home, discussing student problems to boost results and planning to form a Baxter chapter. Pupils should obtain books promptly as primers and new texts arrive. Local millinery opens Friday September 4 at Baxter Supply with main opening later.
