Numerous Baxter Springs notices advertise a millinery bazar by the Aid Society, hat cleaning and repair for 25c, a bake sale at C. W. Yard's on March 25, and various shop promos. Also reports warn against burning trash with fines, a Ford runabout sale, and local social events at Sunday schools and churches. Death of Mrs. Mahala A. Norman noted with funeral details.
The statement portrays Picher Kansas as a booming mining town near The Picher Lead and Zinc Co. with 20 mills in a two mile radius, promising electricity and water, offering low rents for workers, and aiming to reach 10,000 population by 1920. J O Treece Baxter Springs Kansas promotes deed prices for improvers.
Mayor A B Willard proclaims an April 4 election for council seats in Baxter Springs Kansas. Polling places are Perkins Building City Building and P Buttons residence with designated judges and clerks for each ward. City Clerk O M Spratt confirms the notice dated March 21 1916.
