Pastor Garretson Chosen By Local Presbyterian Church
The Presbyterian congregation extended a call to Rev. John Garretson and he accepted the pastorate. He will begin work next Sunday after preaching in Pittsburg last Saturday. Garretson, educated at the University of Pennsylvania Ellsworth College and Yale Divinity School, has held East and West charges including Joplin and Fredonia. He authored Story of Billy Owen about Kansas-Oklahoma oil fields and plans to relocate family of ten to Baxter Springs when quarters are available.
