Mrs Louisa Denton has returned from a stay of several months at Ellsworth Kansas. The note appears as a brief society item with personal movements and local connection.
Mrs. Blanch King of Miami visited her mother Mrs. J. B. Brown in the city on Sunday. The supreme court reversed the case Florence Estella Wade v Empire District Electric Co. Edward G. Funeral services for Elsie Luella Barrett were held at the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon. The music was rendered by Roy Allen's Sunday school class, of which she was a member. Elsie Luella Barrett, born July 24 in Wayne, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, left a father, mother, four brothers and six sisters, with a wide circle of loved ones.

He notes 16500 debt now and expects reduction to 13500 by Jan 1 1916 while department costs and county high school payments influence taxation. The letter defends domestic science costs as five dollars monthly plus supplies and argues legal compliance by the current board.
The Picher Lead Company of Joplin with leases on hundreds of acres southwest of the city will sink five more shafts immediately. One shaft, currently sinking, will reach the ore body within thirty days. The firm has drilled extensively and made rich strikes.
Fire destroyed the vacant home of A. O. Rossmann at West Peoria Street yesterday afternoon after the department arrived too late to save it. The Rossmans had moved to Cherryvale recently, and the insured loss was 3600 dollars.
Bert and Sam Douthit, who leased their land recently for seven percent royalty and a $2000 bonus, have refused an offer of $100 per acre for their 200 acres. They state no sale.
Will Peery from a farm ten miles southeast of Baxter plans a move to take a position in the Indian service. Mrs. F M Perkins visited Columbus this week.
