The new time card, effective Sunday June 23, lists Eastbound trains at 2.20 am 6.35 am 9.25 am 7.17 pm and 9.40 pm. Westbound at 8.00 am and 1.45 am. North at 2.45 am. One Killed and One Hurt in Mine Roof Fall
Last Thursday at about 1 45 pm a slab fell from the roof of a drift in the Petersburg mine Baxter camp killing Jack Burnett and injuring Jim Ice who was not seriously hurt. Dr Wear attended but Burnett died at the scene. Ice recovered quickly. Burnett was single and, it is believed, to have been married soon.
