Kansas Auto Tax Funds Roll Into Road Improvements
In the year ending June 30 1915 about 60 000 autos and 10 000 motorcycles were registered in Kansas with 70 000 men paying their fees to county treasurers. After expenses 270 000 dollars remained for county road maintenance and improvement. At 75 cents per mile the money could drag 360 000 miles once or 72 000 miles five times. The writer praises the auto law and seeks cooperation of motorists to grow the fund. Chautauqua Arrangements Set for Baxter July Start
Arrangements for the Chautauqua in Baxter begin July 29 and run six days. Large crowds expected.
