Baxter State Bank plans a two story modern building on 44 feet of ground between its current site and Mr Opper man harness shop. Ground floor includes a 25 foot wide bank room and a narrow business room. Upper story for offices. Heating plant and modern conveniences planned. Work to start soon after plans are finalized.
The Methodist Episcopal Church, Pastor C F Johnson, invites members to Sunday morning communion and Sunday night preaching by District Superintendent Rev John Maclean, who visits quarterly. The fourth quarterly conference is set for Monday at ten, with all officials expected to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Rhodes of Kansas City visited for the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Binns. Mrs. Rhodes is the daughter of Mrs. Binns, tying the families together during the festive stay.
