A proposed idea suggests taxing or tagging bachelors to pair them with widows, arguing a tag day could resolve two problems with marriage licenses. The piece claims about fifty thousand bachelors and as many widows in Kansas and envisions Cupid guiding matches through widowly initiative.
The Big Reunion opens for its thirty third meeting one week from Monday with grounds being cleared and water systems set.
