Farmers' Chautauqua Feature Nears Big Reunion

The Farmers' feature will showcase a machinery exhibit with daily lectures for five days. Two talks per day will cover practical farming topics, with live demonstrations and explanations of equipment. Prof. R. W. Jordan of Labette will manage the chautauqua on the hill south of the water tank, inviting every farmer to attend.

Hood Implement Company installs a water tank on North Military street with continuous flow from a well on the premises pumped by a gasoline engine. Services at St Mark's church Sunday evening at 8 o'clock with an address by Geo Schnebley on a telegraphic course. Several local figures, including Hood's and Mr and Mrs Jake Webber, were dinner guests of L E Bridges. Discussion notes saving corn fodder for economical feed this year.

Mrs Emma C Hamilton Dies at 64 on Broadway

Mrs Emma C Hamilton wife of Henry Hamilton died at her home on Broadway Wednesday August 6 1913 after a two year illness. Funeral services were held last Thursday, interment at Baxter Cemetery. Survived by husband two grown children. She was 64 years 7 months. Funeral sermon by Chas F Parham. Woman's Relief Corps conducted the services.
