Harlem Creek sewer sets world record in St Louis works
The Harlem Creek sewer in St Louis, starting July 13 1906, will reach 29 feet in diameter in its main section with four miles of main and branch lines draining over 6000 acres. Engineers note it may allow a tug to pass through and gasoline launches to sail on its waters as the city advances toward completion in three to four years.
