Saskatchewan soldiers' votes spark constitutional debate
A Canadian move to give soldiers on service representation prompts commentary from the London Daily Mail and Manitoba Free Press. Saskatchewan passed a bill for three soldiers to represent service personnel in England, France, and Belgium, with candidates limited to six months with the Canadian expeditionary force. The policy is cited as a real political articulation, contrasting with the UK debate over soldiers' suffrage.
