Clinton Childs Shot and Dies in Boston City Hospital
Clinton Childs former Bath resident living with his son in Boston was shot by a woman and later died. Mrs Eben F. Silsby of Walham confessed to the shooting after a theatre and restaurant outing with Childs and her 17 year old daughter. Childs admitted the act but claimed it was accidental. police believe it was a deliberate shooting. He leaves wife, two daughters Helen and Louise, son Harold, two sisters, and lodge memberships in local Masonic bodies. Funeral set for Sunday at 2 p.m. from Mrs Ring’s Russell Street residence.
