The Huse P T A discusses the Second Annual Penny Fair to be held Friday October 28 with proceeds to buy a texograph machine. Attractions include pony rides fish pond Chinese laundry popcorn ice cream punch lollipops candies and a talent parade. Two shows are planned 3 to 4 30 for younger children and 7 30 to 9 for older children and adults. A first full committee meeting is scheduled Monday at 7 pm at Huse school.

Bath dance raises 251 dollars for polio fund drive
Mrs M Dean Shaw reports the country dance netted 251.60 for the Emergency Polio Fund. Proceeds from sales letters tag day and county program will go to the National Epidemic Fund for patient care only, with no admin costs. Walter Woodman has begun work as Bath Y M C A community boys' work director. A Cambridge and San Jose State graduate, he holds an A B from 1947 and studied at the University of Pittsburgh for a master’s degree. He brings wide field experience from California Pittsburgh England and Maine camps. He will expand and continue the local program with input from adults and parents for new boys’ activities.

Moose startling Bath couple near Bull Rock road
Bath residents Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Loveitt reported a cow moose running beside their car on a wet Tuesday afternoon near Bull Rock road. The animal slipped on the slick pavement, fell, recovered, and disappeared into the woods as rain fell around them.
