Green manures may harm tobacco seed crops after plowing under
Findings show that green-manure crops turned under before tobacco transplanting can be injurious rather than beneficial. Early decay stages may affect seeds of various crops if seeding occurs too soon after plowing. A period of two or more weeks should pass before sowing, depending on the green material and following crop.
