Burglars Strike Richmond Stores Net About $200
Burglars were active in Richmond Thursday night with four breaks yielding about $200. The Logers Brothers hardware store saw the largest haul, roughly $20 from the till, while the high school candy counter secured a small amount. Breaks at the J. B. Ham grain store and Kendall grain mill produced under 50 cents in cash, though several pairs of new cloth gloves were taken from Kendall. Authorities suspect local youths familiar with the entries. St Mary’s guild card party at Grace church parish house on Oak street drew many guests with over 50 tables. Marion Freeman and William Adams led in scores, followed by Mrs Larrabee and Jank Turner as runners-up.
