Mrs. Caroline B Rolfe former Bath woman led a group of Portland women in gifting a Swiss made clock with marble base to ex Governor Percival P Baxter. The letter praising his loyalty education and humane efforts accompanied the token. The memorial association which formed Baxter Boulevard Association will beautify the boulevard and operate separately from the gift.

The body of 28 year old foreman Frank Kirsch of The Founda tion Co recovered Sunday morning by George A. Bragdon at the Kennebec river dock. He was swept overboard August 29 during discharge of lumber from the steamship Harmattan. Police and Medical Examiner Morin notified. Kirsch to be sent to Cold City TL. Services were conducted by Granite lodge 341 K of P Cold City and Acadia lodge of Bath.
Sumner Bragdon of Quincy formerly resided in Bath spent the holiday in this city. Miss Minnie Furbish visited Portland with her mother Mrs Elizabeth Furbish. Mr and Mrs George Dale of Portland were guests of Mr and Mrs Ralph Dale in Washington street. Duncan and John Melnnes left today for Ludlow VI to visit Mr and Mrs Kenneth Archibald. Delmar Bates returned to Quincy Mass after holidays at Snow Park. Mr and Mrs Fred P Shaw of Green street hosted relatives for the weekend. Mr and Mrs John Lasalle of Whitinsville Mass arrived at Small Point for a few days with Mr and Mrs William D Sewall.
Bath State Ferry broke Labor Day traffic records with 715 automobiles and 1869 passengers from Woolwich to Bath between 5 34 am and 2 15 pm. Compared with last year, autos rose to 601 and passengers to 1504, while totals for 1926 beat 1925 by 122 automobiles and 946 passengers. Receipts reached 8189.60 with lineups and rapid handling praised by Manager Edmund P Briggs.
Mrs Jennie F Brackley wife of Charles E Brackley died Monday morning at 277 Center Street after a long illness She was born in Boston raised in Bath daughter of Charles and Jessie Williams She was a member of Lowell temple P S women’s auxiliary and active in the Ladies Aid of People’s Baptist Church She leaves her husband a daughter Mrs William P Oakex a brother Charles Henry Williams of Dorchester Mass and two grandchildren Charles M and Gordon K Lemont of Bath

Curtis party returned to Lynn after two weeks in Bath with the Shea family. Covel and McNeal families toured to Milford NH on Labor Day and bought a cocker spaniel. Ledyard Cahill trio drove 806 miles in a day to Aroostook. Miriam Adams left Bath for Woonsocket RI to teach languages. Leon Berry and family moved to Brunswick with business ties to Jamaica Plain. Tucker couple toured Maine and Bar Harbor after cold week near Moosehead Lake. Fullerton party plus Parry head to Advocate Canada for two weeks. Natick pair Gilman and Ayer visiting Winship Street. Grace Cunningham and daughter Mary returned from Old Orchard Beach where Mary, aged 10, won a silver cup as the Charleston Queen and danced with noted instructors.
Robert Stockman Corey of Brunswick died September 1 at age 77 after a serious operation. Born December 24, 1849 in Newburyport Massachusetts, he lived in Brunswick 40 years and worked 34 years at the Cabot cotton mill machine shop retiring two years ago. He was a deacon at Cumberland Street Baptist church and a Fort George lodge Knights of Pythias member. Survived by widow, daughter Mrs Francis H Bishop of Houston, sons Robert and Raymond, and brothers Orlando A. Corey of Brunswick and Harry Corey of Mattapan Massachusetts.
Mrs Mary E Tarr 69 widow of Calvin M Tarr died Friday after an illness under two weeks. Born in Georgetown she lived there until moving to South Street six years ago. She attended Georgetown and Bath Wesley Methodist churches. Survived by Mrs Alice Heald Bath George L Tarr Arrowsic and John Alonzo Hunt Georgetown.
Margaret B. Simonton aged 69 died Sunday morning at her daughter Alice Lacey’s home 12 South Street after a short illness. Born in New Richmond Canada she was the daughter of John and Mrs Fletcher and came to Bath many years ago. She leaves daughter Alice Lacey and son George Glendening.
Joseph Robinson aged 55 died after a brief illness. He was the son of John and Mary Robinson and brother to three brothers and two sisters. A Bath native, his funeral held Wednesday morning at 7.30 at St Marys Church.
Frances M Bentley funeral conducted Thursday morning by Rev. Ernest Wright at 21 Washington Street. Bearers included Arthur B Stearns Ralph O Dale Arthur J Dunton and William O Given. Burial followed in Laurel Grove Woolwich.
The funeral for Edgar Perley Trott was held Wednesday at two p.m. at 410 Washington Street with Rev. R. H. Carey of Corliss Street Church officiating. Bearers were James L. Trott, Wilfred C. Trott, Leonard P. Miller, and Chester A. Plant. Burial took place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Cromwell family expresses gratitude for acts of kindness and sympathy after the bereavement of Florence Cromwell. Mr Willard F Cromwell Irving Cromwell Arthur Cromwell extend thanks, noting neighbors friends classmates and thoughtful deeds helped lighten their burden. Bath date September 4 1926.

Mrs Della Morey returns home with her for a week’s visit.
Cornelius Brewster returns to Isle of Springs after the Summer. Miss Molly Gibbons with James and Frederick Drake visited Sebago lake as guests of Rev. and Mrs. Culbert MeKiay. Mr and Mrs. Sewall Webster return to Augusta after visiting Dr and Mrs. Harry F Morin of Washington. Violet Ellis returns from Halifax to oversee Bath city hospital operating room duties. Martin Powers goes to Quincy Mass after spending a week with his parents in Bath New Hampshire street.
Miss Etta Dow returned Monday from a weekend with her friend Mrs. Pauline Cummings in Portland. Emma Pierce, June Donnell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hatch and son Daniel spent the weekend at Squaw Mountain Inn in Greenville. Davis Hatch and son Davis Jr. visited Mrs. Hatch's mother in Needham Mass. Elizabeth McDougall and Miss Mary Sylvester, formerly of Bath, were surprised at Miss McDougall's home with Mr. and Mrs. Join McDougall hosting. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Coulthard and assistants.
