Woolwich Moves to Elect Taxpayers Budget Committee

Bath teachers hold annual meeting at Huse School
Nearly all 93 Bath School department staff attended the annual meeting at Huse school auditorium. Superintendent Loring Addison led a business session and spoke, with Miss Priscilla Ferguson introduced as the new elementary supervisor. Officers and committee members were elected unanimously and the group adjourned to separate sessions for high school and elementary staff.

Large Barn Burns and Portion of House Damaged
Fire early Tuesday destroyed the large barn attached to a 2 1/2 story wooden house at 244 Center Street and penetrated the upper ell causing extensive damage. The blaze, discovered by neighbor Arthur Haskins at 1:50 a.m., required 4 hose lines to control and 3:45 p.m. to extinguish. The home, owned by the Augustus Peron estate, sustained smoke and water losses. the car and belongings were destroyed with no insurance on them. The cause is undetermined.

Owner and driver deny knowledge of horse doping incident
