Warm Weather Hampers Bay Duck Hunting
The warm streak keeps ducks at Merrymeeting bay largely out of reach, with birds rising before legal shooting hours and returning late, making hunts poor. Ducks retreat to Back Bay Portland or offshore sites, avoiding mortal enemies the duck hunters as days end. The report notes scattered activity and hints at continuation on page six.
