Early decision awaited on Bath turnout case
The Bath Box Co and Lewiston Augusta & Waterville line seek to build a turnout on Washington Street to move freight cars between the Maine Central yard and the Bath plant. Petitions challenge council approval and legal authority to move cars through streets. A swift ruling could allow construction before ground freezes, or prompt procedural fixes if favoring petitioners.
