The new leader plans a large Armistice day celebration with a mimic night attack at Dead Horse field a ball at the armory and a city arcade fair plus a hospital drive and a push to raise funds for a post club house.

Lieut Parker Moulton U S A and his wife stay with his parents Mr and Mrs Rufus Moulton on Drummond street while he takes a 15 day leave. He expects orders to Camp Devens soon and discharge from service in New York state after over two years away since leaving Plattsburg. He and his wife plan to return to Bath briefly before reentering civilian life. Mr Moulton was formerly Miss Adelaide Dennison of this city.

George W. Lasky, a Bath native and former mine layer lieutenant, has become chief engineer aboard a steamship operating between Philadelphia and southern ports. He served in World War I aboard the Massachusets and now lives in South Weymouth with his wife and two children.

Mr Arthur B K Dun ning and his wife suffered cold and hunger in Berlin during the war while he studied music and served with American authorities. In a letter to the Independent he says he plans a business trip to the United States soon and looks forward to visiting his home city. Johnson Bros. send a $50 check to Chief Parks of the fire department to aid the department in any way. The storehouse fire, highly flammable contents, and risky sparks near other buildings prompted careful control. Chief Parks and his team contained the blaze within about two hours. Mrs. Jason A. Merrill and daughter Marie Christine returned from New Gloucester after visiting Mr. Merrill’s mother. Mr. Merrill stayed briefly at his former home before accompanying them home on Wednesday.

Big Fish Freezer Plant Planned for Boothbay Harbor
Ground will be broken at Boothbay Harbor within weeks for a large fish freezing complex along the Atlantic coast. The Maine Fisheries Corporation led by Capt. Irving Phinney plans a 400 barrel per day freezer with 10 000 barrel cold storage, plus air receiving rooms skinning lofts smoke houses packing houses and flaking yards and a five-vessel wharf. Judd Engineering Co of Boston will construct the refrigeration plant.
