Melvin C. Plummer of Portland, formerly of Bath and proprietor of the Bath hotel Phoenix, completes a 3000 mile bicycle journey in 47 days to visit his brother Dr. Alvin Plummer in San Francisco. The men, separated by 26 years, had lived on opposite coasts. Court opens with grand jury. Sagadahoc session in Bath
