Description of Proposed Hotel Design and Features
A proposed hotel plan outlines a simple dignified exterior with limestone first story brick upper walls and optional artificial stone. It features a glass and metal marquise entrance, a lobby with offices, a dining room and roof garden, a store, basement bowling and billiard facilities, 16 rooms per floor with private baths, connecting layouts, outside light, and selective winter heating with interior telephones. The design targets three guest classes including permanent residents, summer transients, and traveling salesmen.
Challenge Made by Mrs Langdon Snipe Class
The 15 members of Mrs Langdon Snipe's Sunday school class formed a club. They will hold fortnightly sessions at members homes this fall and winter. They voted to challenge the Men's Class to see which group gains the most members and best attendance. Officers elected were President Miss M Janet Cutler Secretary Miss Sarah Lermond Treasurer Miss Beulah Withee. Next session in two weeks at Miss Lermond's home.

Moody Place Sold To Thomas Spence Of Texas Steamship Co
Moody Place, a prominent riverfront residence with 500 foot waterfront and 245 foot Bowery street frontage, has been purchased by Thomas Spence, superintendent of the Texas Steamship Co. The Moody family long occupied the summer home and the property adjoins the former New England Co. yard, now owned by the Texas Co. Rockland plans a $200 fence around its baseball field to create a public playground, following Bath’s lead.

Last Thursday George West fell eighteen feet from a barn loft while pitching hay and sprained his right arm. Sewall P. Oliver fell from a load of trunks at Georgetown Center injuring ribs but kept driving to Five Islands. Mrs Hannah Oliver and others visited Bath, and several Todds traveled there in W E Rowe’s car.
