Schoolboy Injured When Bike Hits Car
At 1 p.m. Monday 11 year old Walter J Upham rode his bicycle along Academy street and turned to look back at friends causing him to hit the left front fender of a parked car at 177 Academy street. He sustained severe injuries to his right thigh and was taken to Memorial hospital by Ralph T Higgins escorted by Bath Police. Doctors Joseph I Smith and Dr John F Dougherty attended him.

Man Receives 11 Months for Larceny in Phippsburg Center
Onnie Elkhill alias Harry Elkhill and others from Quincy Mass was found guilty of larceny amounting to 95.66 dollars at a Walter Snipe store in Phippsburg Center and sentenced to 11 months in Kennebec county jail. Judge Deering did not press other breaking and entering charges. Arrowsic Bridge Project Details Revealed by State Engineer
Lucius D. Barrows of the Maine State Highway Department provides figures on the Arrowsic bridge project. The federal air secondary plan covers 2750 feet of new roadway from Woolwich toll house to Arrowsic, plus a Sasanoa River bridge and a railroad overpass. The Arrowsic span will be 833 feet with seven steel spans and a 50 foot navigational clearance. The bridge features a 24 foot roadway, 2 foot walks, concrete deck, ledge foundations, and a $550,000 total cost split between federal aid and state funds.
