Woolwich residents packed Day's Ferry for a postponed fair held in Tuessie Hall and an adjacent field. The hall displayed jellies, jams, preserves, vegetables, quilts, relics, and a notable needlework center piece by Mrs Frank Jones. Poultry outside drew attention to bantams, ducks, and roosters while crafts and a 100 year old linen table cloth impressed. The event also highlighted cooking, fruit like Maiden Brush apples, and a Century-old foot stove. A 13 year old baked bread that could rival a culinary school graduate. The fair featured horse, cattle, and poultry judging with prize winners including Rhode Island Reds and White Wyandottes.
