The Telephone Company of Maine advances the Boston-Portland toll cable after laying to Portsmouth. Work will continue between Wittery and Portland over the coming months. The project, costing about 2 million when finished, includes 900000 to be spent in Maine next year. Bert T. Adams and Pearl E. Tobey of Roxbury Massachusetts married Thursday in Auburn by Rev. Albert Q. Oliver. Mrs. Adams is daughter of ex Alderman J. Fred Tobey of Bath. She worked in child welfare health service and attended Morse high school Burdett college. Mr. Adams is son of the late J W Adams of Auburn and runs a jewelry business there. They honeymoon in Montreal then Burlington Vermont and will reside at 16 Hazel Street Auburn after December 1.
Samuel Bickle of Dayton Ohio former Bath resident and Ida May Arthur daughter of Mrs Mary Arthur Akron were married Saturday in Akron. The groom son of Mr and Mrs Henry Bickle of Bath and a MIT class of 22 alumnus now employed by Delco Refrigerating Co in Dayton.
