Colonial Club to Make Improvements in Its Rooms
The Colonial Club met with a large turnout and voted to install a large fireplace and two windows in the south end with Central Maine Power Co. handling the contract. The club planned a reception to rededicate the rooms, voted a liberal extra appropriation, admitted three new members, and approved a larger scale Christmas celebration with donations to the tree fund. A fall play at Columbia Theatre was announced with a complete cast, and a November tournament plan was proposed. A marriage announcement from Newport noted Mary Canfield Bivins to William Clyde Williams.
