Frederick Carson 54 of 252 Turner Street Auburn died after his Ford overturned on Pejepscot road early Sunday. Medical Examiner Langdon Smipe ruled accidental death, no inquest needed. George Clifford found the body. Carson was a traveling salesman for Simons Tool Co. born in Michigan, lived in Auburn.

Harry Savage aged 38 died Monday morning at Grace parish emergency hospital from pneumonia following influenza. He worked for J. P. Soule & Son Co. He was unmarried and leaves his father M. O. Savage of Long Beach California and one brother Walter Savage of Augusta. John H. Hyde United States Army has been commissioned second lieutenant and serves as instructor at the machine gun officers training school at Camp Hancock.

John Fitzgerald returns from New York after a ten day absence partly on a business trip to Boston and New York and partly to be with his son Lieutenant Edward J. Fitzgerald recently returned from France. Lieutenant Fitzgerald reports French people love Americans and that the war in New York seems near end with continued Allied push toward peace and involves Mrs. Bushnell who is a navy warrant officer. The elder Fitzgerald went aboard the Allyn and previously served on the coast of Ireland while employed here.

Snow Park rises as a thriving private building project
Snow Park, opened in 1915 on the former Snow homestead, has developed into a flourishing private building area. Ex mayor Arthur J. Dunton remodeled the Snow house into a two family home, opened a street named Snow Park, and oversaw several new residences. Now sold plots and many completed houses line the street, with wide lots, furnaces, electric light, baths, and sewers, though gas was unavailable. The city laid a granite walk along the east side, and about $35,000 in assessed value has been added to the tax base by this development.
