John O. Moulton 52 prominent Mesa merchant dies at 1019 Middle street after months of illness pneumonia and complications. Born Bath he was son of George and Fannie Moulton educated Bath High School 1895 worked as bookkeeper for W. W. Mason and E. B. Drummond & Co before joining George F. Jackson’s wholesale grocery where he became general manager after Jackson’s death six years ago. He served on the Bath city council Ward 7 during Spear and Irish administrations and was active in Masonic bodies including Polar Star lodge and Dunlap commandery KT. He leaves wife Mabel Jackson two daughters Marcia and Mrs Wallace Rand a granddaughter Virginia Rand and his father Dr Charles D. Moulton of East Orange NJ plus three sisters.
Miss Ella M Higgins, 79, died Thursday evening at the home of her sister Mrs Thomas F Perkins in West Bath where she had lived for 35 years. Born in the Hardings section of Brunswick to Captain David S Higgins and Phoebe Perkins Higgins, she had been in declining health for four years and beds four days. She leaves sister Mrs Perkins, brother Joseph W Higgins of Brunswick, and nephews H Dorman Perkins of West Bath and Joseph W Higgins Jr of Brunswick. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist church in Bath, joined at age 16.
Mrs Ella F Elliott 63 widow of Capt William O Elliott who died aboard his schooner in Rockland harbor last November died Thursday at City hospital after bronchial pneumonia. Born Peaks Island she was daughter of Thomas and Martha Hutchins and had lived in Bath 18 years. She leaves two sons Walter L and Howard of Bath one daughter Mrs Urban Hall of Livermore Falls two brothers Arthur and Austin Hutchins and a sister Mrs Linwold Bailey.
The funeral of John O. Moulton, a well known businessman, drew many attendees including business associates and Masonic members. Rev. David L. Wilson officiated, with Knight Templar rites by Dunlap commandery officers, and a grave committal at Oak Grove. Bearers included Charles A. Lockery and Arthur B. Stilphen.
Funeral services for Mrs Lizzie B Thompson widow of Samuel Thompson were held Friday at 2 PM at her Berry's Mill road West Bath home. Rev F L Littlefield of Wesley church officiated. Pallbearers included Edward K Thompson Perry L Thompson Luther S Thompson O M Redlon Edwin W Haggett and Loring Small. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The funeral for Miss Ella M. Higgins took place Saturday afternoon at one o clock at the home of her sister Mrs. Thomas F Perkins on Berry's Mill road West Bath. Rev. Kenneth E Morse of the First Baptist church Bath officiated. Bearers included Thomas F Perkins H Dorman Perkins Joseph Higgins and Henry Healey. Burial was in the Higgins family lot at Hardings.
Mr and Mrs Rasmusson and daughter Pauline of West Medford Massachusetts visited Bath and nearby areas last week and are now in Five Islands looking after their Summer home there.

Bath native Miss Lucy Reddington Kimball died Monday at 684 High Street after months of failing health. She was daughter of William Otis and Elizabeth Ann Kimball, born in the family house built by Otis Kimball over 80 years ago, active in Central Church and its League, and member of Col. Dummer Sewall chapter, D A R. Survived by her brother Major William R. Kimball and a Boston aunt Mrs L Houghton Kimball, with cousins William Otis Kimball of Boston and Clarence H Kimball of Norwood Mass.
Mrs Mae Covel 50 wife of ex Alderman Ralph Covel died Monday at her home 716 Middle street after a long illness with complications. Born in Bath daughter of William A and Annie M McNeal she lived in Bath all her life. An active Wesley church member and three term president of its Sorority she is survived by her husband her mother and one sister Mrs Lucy Mason of Bath. Her passing mourned by a wide circle of friends who admired her patient sufferings.

George Woodbury of Spencer Massachusetts died May 13. He was a frequent visitor in Bath and Phippsburg for many years and is survived by his wife Minnie Faye and a son Louis. The funeral was held May 16 in Spencer.
