Bowdoinham Memorial Day observance and town notes

Memorial Day exercises led by Thomas Rideout Post G A R include decorating graves in outlying cemeteries, a 1 30 procession to the village cemetery, and a 3 o'clock address in Grange Hall by Rev J H Little of Bethel. The town invites Sons of Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary, school children and officials to attend. Floral tributes will be received by the Post.

The funeral for Mrs Amelia J Given aged 79 was conducted Sunday May 9 at her Bowdoinham Ridge home by the Free Baptist minister of Richmond.

Mrs Given Remembered By Family In Quiet Funeral Note

The Ridge choir sang and floral tributes surrounded the service. Mrs Given will be greatly missed at home. She leaves one daughter Mrs D Cornish and two granddaughters Hazel G Brown and Esther E Perry to mourn her loss.
