Prominent Men of Sagadahoc by Rev H O Thayer
Thayer reflects on Maine history uncovering artifacts from Sagadahoc. He describes a iron archaeological implement found near Arrowse and its possible use in a bakehouse oven, linking it to early colonial ventures of Clarke and Lake and the fort at Arrowsic. He notes local families preserving memories of Governor Lake and events surrounding Kennebec lumbering ventures.
