The four masted schooner Clara E Randall will complete cargo discharge at Brown's wharf today after arriving from Savannah with lumber. Rumors say E G Potter of Long Island may buy the vessel, joining other recent purchases. Owner Eleazer W Clark neither confirms nor denies. Randall, 950 gross tons, built Bath 1894. Captain George Carlson to sail her to New York for delivery to new owner. Arthur Stewart of Bath visited Tennants Harbor briefly.

Boothbay's Two Live Wires Serve in 1916 State Legislature
In the 1916 17 session Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor were represented by two active lawmakers who earned the title good fellows for their service. Elton H. Lewis of Boothbay and Harris Lewis both helped secure state highway funding, with a $16 000 appropriation for the Boothbay Harbor to Wiscasset route to be celebrated at a forthcoming mass meeting.
