Bath plans for a box factory to attract new industries and resolve railway connection issues amid road repairs. The city faces spring road problems, a strong bids for improved telephone service, and praise for Bath Iron Works torpedo destroyers along with Merchant Association action to secure industry.
Mayor Small reappointed last year's police force and backed a box factory proposal with joined committees. Aldermen Allen and Ham to receive electric road complaints. Harrison urged harsher liquor law enforcement, but motion died. Budget totals 151,898.84 with state tax cuts and debt reduction funds, detailing salaries, school costs, road and sewer work, and tax abatements.

Mrs Joshua P Emmons died Saturday in Bath. Widow of Joshua P Emmons she was born in Phippsburg on August 23 1833. She leaves five children Charles M William H Fred P Mrs George A Brown and Mrs John G Haskell all of Bath plus two sisters and a brother. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. Probate court Tuesday.
