Bath Chamber of Commerce Secures Music Hall HQ
At a special board meeting the Bath Chamber of Commerce voted to establish permanent headquarters in Music hall at Center and Washington. The space will include directors rooms, a managing secretary’s office, committee rooms and a general meeting auditorium. The move follows a committee’s recommendation after surveying options. The Texas Steamship Co. occupancy ended with plans to relocate within days, while Fred DeWitt Shelton remains acting managing secretary for now.

Parent Teachers Concert Delights At PTA Rooms
The PTA concert drew a crowd Monday night with the Thompson sisters at the ends of a semicircle stage. Soloists and choruses performed popular new songs with the PTA orchestra backing. Mrs Blanche Sprague on piano and Reginald Stacy on violin among the notable performers. Proceeds exceeded 37 dollars from the entertainment and candy sales.

Mrs. Elizabeth Wood of Harding died after long illness. Born in England, she came to the United States in 1891 and married Ernest A. Wood in Bath. She sang in church choirs, helped organize Sunday school in North Bath, and was active at Wesley church. Survived by husband, two sons Ernest of Bath and Herbert of Harding, three daughters Elsie Spinney of Eliot Lillian and Edna at home, sister Ada Bailey of England.

The body of Capt Charles H Foster 60 a Bath native died Thursday in New York City was brought home for burial in Oak Grove. A former commander of Maine Central transfer boats City of Rockland and Hercules he retired to Somerville Mass and later moved to New York. He leaves a wife a daughter Mrs Franklin Smith and a son Max Foster both of New York City.

Selectman Searches for Skeleton on Sheep Island
Georgetown board member Hibridge Cunningham went to Sheep Island on Tuesday to locate bones reported by Bath area youths Clyde Stilphen and Ernest Kingsbury. Medical Examiner Langdon T. Snipe notified officials to bury the bones, and Cunningham learned the boys had left for Bath while bones were thought near Hall's Bay. He plans to contact the youths to bury the skeleton.

Auburn police seized a complete liquor distilling outfit and six quarts of whiskey at 33 Sixth street. Thomas Dubeau, 23, was arrested and allegedly admitted owning the plant saying he planned to make only enough liquor for personal use. Mrs. F. E. Scott baked an apple pie from two year old Ben Davis apples. the pie was praised for flavor. Fred E.
