Fatally Injured at Bath Iron Works Plane Crash
Samuel McCutcheon aged 20 was fatally injured at Bath Iron Works while leaning to view a line on a plane. His head was caught between a grand box corner and the plane cross piece, and despite aid he died shortly after at his home. He was a former South End polo player and survived by parents, a brother in the Navy, and two sisters. Tug Pejepscot will begin April 2 towing pulpwood barges from Salmon River to Bath, with about 26 000 cards and roughly 45 trips expected.
