Resettlement at Sagadahoc by Rev Henry Thayer outlook from Arrowsic
In spring 1716 Arrowsic developments prompted the Massachusetts General Court to establish Sagadahoc as a township with civil rights. The era saw George I's coronation influencing place names like Georgetown and Hanover Island. John Watts served as Justice of Peace until his death in 1717, and the Pejepscot Company, plus settlers, expanded land claims across Arrowsic and nearby shores, laying out mills, houses, and early town plots as colonization advanced.

The Old Clipper Days Poem
A nostalgic poem by Julian S. Cutler recalls the heyday of clipper ships. It celebrates long voyages from Boston to Calcutta and Bombay, trading in opium and beads, facing pirates, and the camaraderie of sailors. The speaker laments the end of the era and bids farewell to the voyage and the sailors.
