Bath couple observes 46th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Beal of Brunswick road quietly marked their 46th anniversary on Sunday. They wed in Brunswick on March 4, 1888, visited Bowdoin with Beal's parents, later lived in Phippsburg, then moved to Bath. Mrs. Beal, Ida York, has a son in North Weymouth and two Bath daughters. They have four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Beal works for the A. & K. St. Ry.

Fire destroys Caribou Bay Co. factory in weekend blaze
A large Caribou Bay Co. plant burned Saturday afternoon, starting in the basement rolling department from a spark. The wooden structure near the B. and A. railroad totaled loss, 60 workers escaped unharmed, with General Manager Benjamin Feitel planning to reopen within ten days at a new site.

Sagadahoc Pomona Grangers Gather With Enterprise
Sagadahoc Pomona met February 28 at Enterprise Grange Hall Richmond village with 55 in attendance despite snow. Officers absent were replaced by substitutes from Enterprise West Bath Merrymeeting and Richmond. Discussion covered education for business success financial depression dues collection and a proposed fund to aid prospective new members. Exhibits included piano violin and vocal solos and talks on Washington Lincoln and poultry business. Next meeting slated March 28 with Edna Higgins of West Bath to speak on poultry business.

Town Meeting Day in Several Sagadahoc Towns
Several Sagadahoc county towns held their annual meetings on Monday with results listed. Arrowsic elected George L. Tarr moderator, re elected selectmen, and re elected clerk Frank H. Snipe. A new school board member was Mrs. Roland Raynes. other offices were re filled. Appropriations totaled about 3 000 dollars including 275 for poor and 950 for schools.

Bath shipbuilding era block factory photo story
A 1877 image shows the G. W. Duncan block factory at Spring and Washington streets, a once thriving Bath industry making ship blocks. The plant produced blocks for baths ships and other crafts, possibly supplying 52 ships in one year. Fire destroyed the building in the early nineties, leaving a vacant, eerie ruin at night.
