Degrees Confered On 25 Candidates At West Bath Grange
The first two degrees were conferred on 25 candidates at West Bath Grange Hall Monday evening before an audience of over 100 members. Next Monday the three additional degrees will be conferred followed by a Harvest Feast. A Harvesters rehearsal is planned Wednesday at the grange hall. Sugadahoc Ponoua meets in Richmond Wednesday at Enterprise Grange Hall with Frank P. Washburn, commissioner of agriculture, among the principal speakers.

The Junior Girls choir of People's DPaptictehavel presented an entertaining social with decor in red white and blue to honor Washington's birthday. L W Liteh a well known Summer resident of West Bath and owner of multiple east shore lots on the New Meadows river died last week in Somerset Florida. He lived in Lynn Massachusetts for years in the shoe manufacturing trade and spent summers in West Bath winters in Florida. He went South in November and for six weeks had been very ill.

Bath widow dies of pneumonia in hospital
Luella Mereen 42, wife of Samuel Mereen, of 220 Oak Street, died Tuesday morning at Bath City Hospital from pneumonia. Burial will be in Georgetown after Mineral soloes Thursday at Chadbourne's undertaking rooms. Mrs Mereen formerly of Georgetown had lived in Bath about three years.

Despite heavy rain the East Bowdoin ladies aid met with Mrs Iirland Rogers. The lesson on paper flower making was postponed to Thursday March at Mrs Grant Woods home. Purinton and Starbird made an auto trip to Augusta reporting the coldest ride. Sagadahoc Grange held third and fourth degrees for five candidates with 80 members attending the stormy harvest supper and a surprise program ahead.
