Property cloud case seeks removal of heirs claimants
The bill asserts a long occupancy and payment of taxes by the complainant and predecessors in title on Bowdoinham property from 1920 onward. It contends possible heirs of Vesta M. Gatchell and F S Merrifield may claim rights to the real estate, creating a title cloud and making the property insurable. The court is asked to bar unknown defendants from asserting any right or interest and to publish notice in the Bath Independent with appearances required by February 1949.
