Combination 4 Strikes Pole in Bath Fire Response
Bath firemen responded to box 114 in the Winneganee district when Combination 4 struck a pole at High and Richardson streets. Driver Edward Hi Cook swerved to avoid two teams and Combination 8 from South street, causing minor damage to a mudguard brackets and a chemical tank valve. No injuries.

The two masted schooner Mary Brewer of Rockland 94 gross tons built in Castine was rescued with steering gear disabled and three feet of water in her hold after tearing anchor chain, by the tug Charlie Capt. Frank Reed near Diamond Island Cove. Beached in mud flats near Bennett Wharf South Portland, she has long served as a coaster between Roe and Boston.

Bath girl loses wedding gown in attic fire
Mrs Norman Fr Rand of Portsmouth formerly Dorothy Higgins of Bath, whose new bungalow at 170 Aldvieh Road suffered a fire, lost her wedding gown and many cherished valuables stored in the attic. The blaze damaged the roof and other furnishings. the couple, not yet settled, now lives with Rand’s parents in Wallace Sands, Ky.

Mrs Nancy Finnia Beals 62 widow of Albert W. Beals died Friday morning at 5.50 at her sister Mrs Albion S K Chaney’s home in Bath after a 15 week illness. She was born in Bremen and lived in Bath for many years. She leaves sister Mrs Chaney and brother Walter Martin of Rockland. Funeral services Monday at 2.30 at the Chaney home. She was a member of People's Baptist church.
