Red Cross in Bath Exceeds Its War Fund Quota

Bath chapter overran its Red Cross war fund quota with more than 21000 raised in the four day drive led by Edward W. Hyde. Team 5 captain Mrs. Charles W. Welch reported 247 as part of the total along with many local donors including Alfred S. Black and Robert Cochran. District totals in Nequasset Sagadahoc Day’s Ferry Woolwich Center West Bath and other districts augmented the final figure which surpassed last year despite a dip from large contributors. The four day campaign featured a bustling booth, substantial individual gifts, and a successful house to house canvass coordinated by Miss Clara Coombs and Miss Elizabeth Houghton.
