Nequasset Township saga maps early Andover settlement
A 1739 plan merged two parties in Nequasset territory with a 1740 survey by Capt. Benjamin Johnson. The long article recounts owners, farms, and fortifications along Nequasset Neck, Chopps Point, and surrounding bays, listing pioneer houses from Hutchinson to Greenleaf and noting lost original maps and a copy preserved by Dr. Samuel Buck.

They left Augusta Saturday night, reached Bath by 6:30 a.m. Sunday, rested in Bath and Woolwich, and faced tide upstream to Gardiner. A rainstorm at Gardiner ended the journey with electric cars to Augusta arriving about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
