Feldspar Strike Near Keene Opens Major New Supply
A new feldspar deposit estimated at 100000 square feet on an Alstead farm near Keene New Hampshire could supply the country’s ceramic industry for a generation. Professor Charles E Locke of MIT says the find is potentially equal to the existing Keene mines run by Golding Keene Co, which has shipped 100000 tons in seven years. The discovery boosts Keene as a key feldspar shipping point and may spur pottery tile and porcelain manufacturing nearby in New England.

The text cites brain weight comparisons and a critique of busting claims of female superiority. It notes Dr. James W. Paper found Mrs. Gardener’s brain weighed 1150 grams, matching another male brain yet lighter than the average man. It argues intellectual achievement, not brain size, measures ability, citing J McKeen Cattell’s study of 1000 notable figures. It concludes women have lagged behind men across fields.

Split Nova Pictoris May Show Binary Nature
Astronomers report Nova Pictoris, long seen as a single star, now appears as a very close double star. Debates persist whether the twin formed in the 1925 explosion or existed already, with Shapley proposing a past stellar encounter or collision as the trigger for the outburst.
