Bath chapter of the American Red Cross held its 23rd annual meeting at Hotel Sedgwick with Rev. Joseph O. Purdue elected chairman and Dominique J. Tardif named vice chairman. Mrs. Arthur B. Crockett was secretary and Miss Marcia Moulton treasurer. 65 dined as music by Miss Mackinnon and Stevens accompanied by John Grindell.

Trials of Niblack Highly Successful
Builders tracts of the USS Niblack a 1630 ton destroyer were completed Tuesday by Bath Iron Works Corp with two days work. Officials declared the trials extremely satisfactory and said the destroyer will meet all Navy requirements in official trials slated for July. Port Captain William Blair commanded the ship at sea with tests near Monhegan and the New Hampshire coast. John Kells Boothbay Harbor resident visited Friday.
