Georgetown couples host whist party and long list of visitors
Mrs Edgar B Hunt entertained young ladies at her Cove home for a three table whist party with prizes for Miss Laura Pottle and another guest. Refreshments included coffee ice cream and Lorna Doones. Numerous visitors arrived at Indian Point Riggsville and Georgetown Center, while a cyclonic storm caused major road washouts and property damage across town.

Flood Costs Woolwich and Local Road Repair
Heavy rains damaged roads and timber lands in Woolwich. A Brook's Creek bridge remained impassable until Saturday. Estimates say it will take about 3,000 dollars to restore roads to pre storm condition. Logs swept from Brooks's Creek were seen downstream, with recoveries reported near Bath and Kennebec shores. Summer visitors and residents are noted across Woolwich, with multiple social and church events and renovations continuing as the community recovers.
