The Waterville Mail reports a heated exchange between The Hon. Grant Rogers of Richmond and a Gardiner Reporter Journal writer over non enforcement of the prohibitory law in Gardiner. Rogers blames moral stamina and hypocrisy among local temperance supporters, while his rival notes Rogers county shows forty rumshops actively operating.
