Fred L Andrews dies suddenly at summer home
Fred L Andrews 64 vice president and general manager of the Hyde Windlass Co died in his sleep at his Kennebec Point Summer home in Georgetown. He had been in ill health for over two years but remained active at the plant until spring and joined his family optimistic for recovery. He originated the Hyde propeller department and helped make the firm renowned in maritime circles. He is survived by his wife Julia Litchfield Bath and two sons Edwin R and Charles R Andrews. The funeral will be Friday at his Bath home.
